Peter John Ramos | |
Team: Criollos de Caguas (Puerto Rico) Position: Center Size: 7’3″, 275 Stats (per game): 20.5 points / 9.53 rebounds / 2.4 blocks The Skinny: Ramos is a international basketball veteran, having played on one of the Puerto Rican national teams since he was in high school in New York City. But since he’s made the move back to Puerto Rico, he’s honed his game in the professional leagues down there and has made significant progress. While he’s still a little awkward in his movements, he does have good mobility up and down the floor, and can face up and shoot the mid-range jumper. He has relatively short arms so he’s not a mad shot-blocker, but he manges with his height alone. One of the issues with Ramos in the past has been his attitude; he tends to put a lot of pressure on himself and will often pout on and off the court when things don’t quite go his way. However, he seems to have matured in that area in recent years. Ramos projects as at least a late first round pick, perhaps moving up if a team wants to take a gamble on his potential. |
