Second Round Recap – Syracuse Region

With a No. 12 and a No. 10 seed already in the Sweet 16, Bucknell hoped to continue its magical run with another stunner on Sunday, but the Badgers had other ideas. Behind 25 points from Mike Wilkinson, Wisconsin advanced to the Syracuse regional semifinal against No. 10 seed North Carolina State later this week.
Similar to its win against Northern Iowa on Friday, Wisconsin jumped out to a large lead at 23-10 before Bucknell used an 11-0 run to cut the deficit to two. The Bison were able to grab the lead early in the second half, but the Badgers were able to inch to victory.
Chris McNaughton led the Bison with 23 points, going 10-of-14 from the field. Alando Tucker chipped in 17 points for Wisconsin.
Bucknell finished it historical season at 23-10.
