Injuries End Forward’s Career Early: After three injury-plagued seasons, Brigham Young junior forward Garner Meads has decided to quit basketball. Meads said he could not play the level he desired, as the injuries “have resulted in significant pain and frustration.” He started 27 games the past two seasons, and plans to pursue medical school after finishing his undergraduate degree in exercise science and minor business.
