More Bearcat Character Issues: When Cincinnati officials forced out coach Bob Huggins, they sought to find someone who would continue Huggins’ success without the drama caused by arrests — of players or coaches — and academic struggles. A Huggins recruit, Tyree Evans, continued to exemplify the type of situation the school wants to avoid when he was indicted for raping a child and assault and battery of a child. Several of his high school peers were also arrested and indicted in the matter, but they aren’t scheduled to play for the Bearcats this fall. And now, Evans won’t be playing for the school, either. Cincinnati officials said Evans will not be allowed to enroll at the school until his legal situation is clear.
