NCAA Pitches In: As part of the nationwide effort to support hurricane victims, the NCAA is giving $1.5 million to Habitat for Humanity and will continue to raise money during its national championships. The NCAA will also help Habitat for Humanity build homes for people who lost theirs during Hurricanes Katrina or Rita. They also will build homes for victims who left the Gulf Coast for other cities and don’t intend to return. [10/01/05]
