Johnny Napp Can’t Play Ball: NCAA officials have told James Madison senior guard John Naparlo that he can’t practice or play with the team until he puts aside his attempt to start a professional music career. An aspiring country singer, John Naparlo – better known as Johnny Napp to his fans – has an album entitled “Cowboy Up and Party Down” available on Amazon.com and iTunes. The album covers bears his likeness, which violates an NCAA rule for athletes. They are not allowed to profit off of their names or pictures. Naparlo isn’t sure it’s worth ditching his budding career to be a walk-on and sit on the bench for most of the season.
