NCAA Gives Jayhawk Nine-Game Suspension: The NCAA doled out its longest suspension to a player from a major program since it banned former Connecticut Husky Charlie Villanueva for eight games. Jackson only averaged two points and 1.7 rebounds per game last season, but he figured to play a bigger role this season. Student-athletes should avoid boosters like the plague because they seem to bring nothing but trouble — and suspensions.
