Hawkeyes’ Horner Out: Iowa senior guard Jeff Horner will miss two to five weeks because he tore his PCL in his left knee when the Hawkeyes lost to Northern Iowa Tuesday. Horner is the team’s offensive spark plug, averaging 6.6 assists per game in addition to 12 points per game. Although the Hawkeyes will miss Horner, the injury could have been much worse if Horner had torn his ACL or MCL. The best-case scenario now is for Horner to be back when Iowa starts Big Ten play Jan. 5 at Wisconsin. [12/09/05]
