Low Tide: At 7-6, Alabama is in some serious trouble already this season. A conference-opening loss to Mississippi yesterday didn’t hurt as much as the loss of senior forward Chuck Davis, who team doctors say almost certainly tore his ACL. The injury likely ends Davis’ season. He leads the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game. He also contributes 4.9 rebounds per game. Davis injured his knee while trying to block a shot in the 71-61 loss to the Rebels. [1/08/06]
