Yellow Jacket Can’t Meet Standards: Georgia Tech senior forward Theodis Tarver is academically ineligible because he has failed to meet Yellow Jacket standards. He is eligible according to NCAA standards, but coach Paul Hewitt has higher expectations for his players. Tarver played sparingly earlier in the season but cracked the starting lineup recently. He averages 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game on a team that lacks senior leadership, especially without Tarver on the floor. [1/10/06]
