Leading Tiger May Miss Colorado Game: Missouri junior guard Thomas Gardner may miss this weekend’s home game vs. Colorado because he had a concussion during practice yesterday. Thomas, the Tigers’ leading scorer, and sophomore forward Marshall Brown both scrambled for a loose ball and ran into each other, with Brown’s shoulder jamming into Gardner’s head. Gardner got up slowly and later seemed confused. The team’s medical staff diagnosed him with a concussion, and the team will monitor his progress before determining his status for Saturday’s game. Gardner leads the Big 12 conference in scoring with 20.2 points per game. A prolific shooter at nearly 44 percent from three-point range, the Tigers’ hopes of moving to 3-0 in conference play will greatly diminish if Gardner is unavailable. [1/13/06]
