Injury Tames Panther: Northern Iowa senior guard Erik Crawford will miss at least a month while recovering from a broken bone in his right foot. Crawford hurt his foot in Northern Iowa’s 55-52 loss to Creighton Wednesday. He averages 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game as one of the Panthers’ most versatile players. Although he’s not an exceptional shooter, Crawford helps Northern Iowa stretch the court. Not a team to use a deep rotation, the Panthers are down to only five players who average more than 10 minutes per game. [1/13/06]
