Tarver Returns to Tech: Completing a suspension of less than a week, Georgia Tech senior forward Theodis Tarver returned to the team today after an academic committee ruled him eligible. Coach Paul Hewitt suspended Tarver earlier this week for failing to meet the school’s academic standards even though he satisfied the NCAA’s regulated academic eligibility requirements. Tarver has earned increasingly more minutes this season and started the previous six games before his suspension. He averages 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. [1/13/06]
