Retrievers Banished from Dogs’ House: Maryland – Baltimore County coach Randy Monroe is trying to send the message that his team must play better, especially at home, if they want to represent the school. After an ugly loss to New Hampshire at the RAC Arena, Monroe banned his team from using its locker room. Instead, the players must meet and dress in the adjacent media room. They also cannot wear any apparel that bears the school’s logo or nickname. The strategy did not produce the desired results Sunday as the Retrievers lost to Hartford at home 74-73. [1/17/06]
