Trojan Felled at Practice: USC freshman point guard Ryan Francis is hoping that a knee injury that occurred during practice yesterday won’t be serious. Francis collided with a teammate and bruised the knee, but he could not finish practice and will have X-rays to determine the injury’s severity. Francis has played solid basketball for an inexperienced point guard. He averages seven points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. And he only commits about two turnovers per game, yielding a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. [1/17/06]
