Stansbury Puts Out a Couple of Dogs: Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury has dismissed forwards Walter Sharpe and Jerrell Houston after they violated team rules. Stansbury did not offer details about the reason for their dismissal. Neither player starts for the Bulldogs, although Sharpe is productive off the bench, averaging 9.3 points and five rebounds per game. Houston averages 2.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Mississippi State regularly uses 12 players, so the Bulldogs won’t miss Sharpe and Houston too much if they remain finished at Mississippi State. [1/18/06]
