Beaver Will Miss Trip Up North: Oregon State senior point guard Lamar Hurd will miss the Beavers’ games at Washington and Washington State later this week while nursing a strained groin. Hurd injured the muscle during the Beavers’ loss to Arizona State last weekend. The team wants to be cautious with Hurd because groin injuries can be slow to heal and limit movement. Hurd averages 6.1 points, three rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. [1/18/06]
