Tide Turns Even Shallower: Alabama sophomore guard Justin Jonus has left the Crimson Tide and will leave the school in search of a program willing to play him for more minutes. Jonus’ departure leaves coach Mike Gottfried with only three guards on the active roster. Starting point guard Ronald Steele is the only one who averages more than 20 minutes and three points per game. The Crimson Tide have been largely unsuccessful using a four-forward lineup, but they don’t have many options. [1/23/06]
