Smoking Tiger Faces Trouble: Memphis freshman center Kareem Cooper was arrested last weekend for several marijuana-related charges. In response, Tiger coach John Calipari suspended Cooper indefinitely. Police pulled over Cooper while he was driving on a parkway near Memphis. He crossed the middle line several times and switched lanes without using a signal. After pulling Cooper over, the officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle, and Cooper admitted to possessing it. As one of Calipari’s time-sharing freshmen, Cooper averages 10.9 minutes and 4.6 points per game. [1/24/06]
