Infirmary Report: A couple of key players suffered in-game injuries this week that won’t force them to miss time. In Syracuse, senior guard Gerry McNamara missed the rest of the Orange’s overtime win against Rutgers after injuring his thigh in a collision diving for a loose ball. Coach Jim Boeheim said McNamara has a thigh bruise that won’t prohibit him from playing at Connecticut Feb. 8. McNamara leads the team with 16.2 points per game.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati senior forward James White, one of only two Bearcats taller than 6-6, hurt his ankle in the team’s win against South Florida. He missed most of the remainder of the game, but coach Andy Kennedy expects him to be back in the lineup tomorrow against West Virginia. White averages 16.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. [2/03/06]
