Kansas State Coach Has Health Concerns: Kansas State coach Jim Wooldridge will miss an undetermined amount of time to have surgery on a bulging disc in his neck. Wooldridge said the condition has caused numbness in his hands and feet. In his place, assistant coach Jimmy Elgas will lead the team, starting in the Wildcats’ game against Iowa State Wednesday. The Wildcats are 12-7 but fading quickly after back-to-back losses to Baylor and Oklahoma State. [2/06/06]
