Vanderbilt: Commodore Takes Leave of Absence

Commodore Takes Leave of Absence: Vanderbilt senior guard Mario Moore has left the team for medical reasons, but he may return before the end of the season, coach Kevin Stallings said. Moore played sparingly in the Commodores’ loss to Georgia Saturday. He averages 6.3 points and 2.3 assists per game for Vanderbilt, a significant drop compared with 13.5 points per game, which he averaged last season as the team’s leading scorer. Stallings did not offer more information about Moore’s medical condition, citing the player’s right to privacy. [2/07/06]
