Redick Redux: Although he wants his legacy to include more than the title “best three-pointer shooter ever,” Duke senior guard J.J. Redick can now add that honor to his résumé after passing Virginia’s Curtis Staples on the all-time list of prolific three-point shooters. Redick hit two three-pointers in the first half of last night’s rout against Wake Forest to surpass Staples’ 413 career three-pointers. In addition to becoming the top three-pointer shooter of all-time, Redick moved into fourth among all-time ACC scoring leaders. He is 61 points away from passing Wake Forest’s Dickie Hemric for the ACC record. Hemric scored 2,587 points for the Demon Deacons. At Redick’s rate, he might set the mark in just two more games, vs. Miami and at Georgia Tech. [2/15/06]
