Another Wolverine Goes Down: Michigan senior center Chris Hunter injured his knee early in the Wolverines’ loss to Michigan State Saturday. Team doctors have not fully evaluated the injury, and Hunter’s status for Michigan’s game against Illinois tomorrow is unknown. If Hunter misses time, he’ll join senior guard Lester Abram on the injured list. Hunter averages seven points and 3.3 rebounds per game for the Wolverines, who have lost four of five games and are no longer locks to reach the NCAA Tournament. A home win against Illinois would significantly boost Michigan’s tournament aspirations. [2/20/06]
