Nutt Resigns at Texas State: Texas State coach Dennis Nutt announced his resignation today, effective at the end of the season. The Bobcats are 3-23 this season with a 1-14 record in the Southland Conference. Texas State finishes its season at Nicholls State Friday because the team is in last place in the conference and will not qualify for the Southland Tournament, which starts next week. Nutt finishes his sixth season at Texas State, and he has a 72-95 record as the Bobcats’ coach. He came to Texas State after working as an assistant coach at Arkansas State for five years. [3/02/06]
