America East First Round: UMBC rode some hot shooting – hot, as in, 85.7 percent from the field in the second half – to an 88-70 win over Stony Brook to advance to the quarterfinals. The Retrievers (10-18) missed just three shots and got a career-high 33 points from Brian Hodges. Stony Brook (4-24) was led by Mike Popoko’s 14 points.
