Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament: No. 1 Lipscomb played efficiently to pass No. 4 Gardner – Webb 70-51 en route to the Atlantic Sun Championship game. The Bisons shot 42 percent and committed only seven turnovers, and they had four players reach double figures in scoring. Lipscomb will play No. 2 Belmont in the championship game Saturday.
Belmont advanced to the championship game by beating No. 6 Stetson 72-59, ending the Hatters’ run. Stetson had won 12 of its last 14 games entering the tournament. The Bruins were led by Boomer Herndon and Josh Goodwin, who each scored 15 points.
