Fairfield Cuts Ties With O’Toole: Fairfield officials will not renew the recently expired contract of coach Tim O’Toole, whose Stags lost 84-77 to Niagara in the first round of the MAAC tournament yesterday. In eight seasons at Fairfield, O’Toole led the Stags to a 112-120 record. He recently met with school officials, and they decided that letting O’Toole move on was in everyone’s best interests. Fairfield finished the season with a 9-19 record. [3/04/06]
