Ohio Valley Conference Tournament: No. 1 Murray State beat No. 4 Jacksonville State 69-64 to move on to the Ohio Valley Conference Championship vs. No. 2 Samford. The Racers needed a 21-3 second-half run to overcome a nine-point deficit. Five Murray State players reached double figures in scoring, led by Shawn Witherspoon and Pearson Griffith with 14 points.
Samford gets to play the top-seeded Racers after the Bulldogs beat No. 3 Tennessee Tech 73-66. Conference player of the year J. Robert Merritt led the Bulldogs with 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Samford was in control for most of the second half as Tennessee Tech never pulled closer than seven points.
