Ohio Valley Conference Championship: No. 1 Murray State completed its run to another Ohio Valley Championship by beating No. 2 Samford 74-57. The Racers used a balanced attack and suffocating defense in the second half to stifle the Bulldogs, who were seeking their first OVC championship. Murray State won the championship for the second time in three seasons. Four Murray State players reached double figures in scoring, led by junior Trey Pearson with 15 points. The Racers cruised to the victory by only allowing the Bulldogs to shoot 8-of-34 from the field in the second half and 12-of-39 from three-point range for the game.
