Padgett’s Surgery Successful: Louisville sophomore center David Padgett had successful arthroscopic surgery Monday to repair his left knee, which he first injured in practice before the season. Padgett’s knee injury worsened during the season, and coach Rick Pitino decided to stop playing him before it became serious. Padgett’s last game was at Syracuse Feb. 18. In 24 games, he averaged 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds. [3/07/06]
