West Coast Conference Championship: Teams like Creighton, Missouri State, Hofstra and Syracuse can maintain a little bit more hope for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid thanks to No. 1 Gonzaga’s 68-67 victory against No. 2 Loyola – Marymount in the West Coast Conference championship. A Gonzaga loss would have meant one less available at-large bid for those shaky bubble teams. The Bulldogs staged a furious rally in the second half to erase a 13-point deficit on their home court. Senior guard Brandon Worthy’s fourth foul sparked the Gonzaga run as Worthy had to sit for more than five minutes. Junior forward Adam Morrison led the Bulldogs with 23 points, and senior center J.P. Batista had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Worthy led the Lions with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists in his final game.
