Mid-Eastern Athletic Tournament: No. 7 Norfolk State slipped past No. 10 Maryland – Eastern Shore 73-71 to advance to the quarterfinals against No. 2 Coppin State. The Spartans beat Maryland – Eastern Shore for the third time this season, sweeping the season series.
No. 9 Howard whacked No. 8 North Carolina A&T 62-52 in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score would indicate. The Bison jumped all over North Carolina A&T, building a 48-17 lead shortly into the second half, then put it on cruise control. Howard will play No. 1 Delaware State Wednesday.
