Sun Belt Conference Championship: No. 1W South Alabama was able to punch its dance ticket Tuesday night after defeating No. 1E Western Kentucky 95-70. Junior forward Richard Law, who came off the bench, scored 22 points in 17 minutes to lead the Jaguars. Although the Murphy Center was packed with Hilltopper fans, nothing seemed to help senior guard Anthony Winchester, Western Kentucky’s leading scorer, find his rhythm. He was 6-of-21 from the field and just 2-of-11 from behind the arc. Jaguar senior guard Chey Christie was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. He played just 20 minutes, but was 6-of-6 for 14 points in the win. [3/07/06]
