The 49ers drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to slip past the Anteaters. Long Beach State will play No. 1 Pacific in the championship, which the team hasn’t reached in 11 years.
Pacific joins Long Beach State in the championship game after beating No. 4 Cal Poly 68-57. The Tigers had four players reach double figures in scoring. Pacific broke a 55-55 tie late in the game with an 11-0 run to evade the potential upset. [3/10/06]
