Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament: Junior forward Jahsha Bluntt scored 20 points to lead No. 1 Delaware State to a 63-51 win against No. 4 South Carolina State, avenging a loss to the Bulldogs earlier in the season. The win pushes the Hornets into the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament championship against No. 6 Hampton Saturday. Delaware State lost only two conference games this season and beat the Pirates twice.
Hampton cruised to victory against No. 7 Norfolk State, winning 73-56. Senior center Bruce Brown and sophomore gaurd Rashad West each scored 15 points to lead the Pirates, who led by as many as 24 points in the second half. [3/10/06]
