The Rebels pushed the Aztecs to the limit, as Brandon Heath hit a go-ahead three-pointer with less than a minute remaining to push San Diego State into Saturday’s championship game against upstart No. 7 Wyoming.
The Cowboys rode Justin Williams’ dominant performance to a 60-47 victory against No. 6 Utah, continuing improbably tournament run that started with an upset of No. 2 Air Force. Williams posted a triple-double with 10 points, 15 rebounds and 12 blocks. The Utes couldn’t find their way around Williams in the paint and never found their offensive rhythm. [3/10/06]
