Atlantic Coast Conference Championship: No. 1 Duke won its seventh Atlantic Coast Conference championship in the past eight seasons with a 78-76 win against No. 3 Boston College. When the Blue Devils needed help, senior guard J.J. Redick answered the call, hitting five second-half three-pointers. Redick finished with 26 points, including three consecutive three-pointers midway through the second half after Boston College had taken a two-point lead. The Eagles kept the game close until the end and had a chance to win, but Louis Hinnant’s half-court heave was off by a foot. [3/12/06]
