Cardinals Dump Buckley: Ball State officials fired coach Tim Buckley Wednesday. The Cardinals finished the season 10-18, ending Buckley’s six-year run as Ball State’s coach. He compiled a 143-139 record during his stint with the Cardinals, including one NIT appearance in 2002. The school reassigned Buckley to another position at the university, probably because he still has three years remaining on his contract.
