Hofstra Keeps Pecora as Leader of the Pride: To cut off speculation that Hofstra coach Tom Pecora might be a leading candidate for the Seton Hall job, school officials gave Pecora a five-year contract through 2011. Pecora has led the Pride for the past four seasons after he served as an assistant to Jay Wright for seven seasons. In those four years, he has compiled an 81-72 record, including a 26-7 record this year, which many observers felt should have been good enough to earn an NCAA Tournament at-large bid. [3/30/06]
