Patience Is a Virtue: Central Florida assistant coach Tom Schuberth has been in the collegiate coaching ranks for 23 years, and he’s never received a head coaching gig — until now. Texas Pan American has hired the Golden Knight assistant, giving him his first opportunity to lead a program after working as an assistant at Central Florida, Memphis, Alabama – Birmingham, Louisiana – Monroe and North Alabama. Schuberth takes over the Broncs, who are one of 10 Division I independent programs. The Broncs finished 7-24 last season, with only three wins against other D-I opponents. [4/19/06]
