Lowry Strengthens PG Ranks: The NBA Draft had been lacking in talented point guards until the final week or two before the deadline for early entrants to declare. First, Connecticut’s Marcus Williams made his intentions official. Now Villanova’s Kyle Lowry has entered the draft. The sophomore point guard averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Because he can do everything, he’s considered one of the top point guards in this year’s draft. But Lowry may not remain in the draft because he did not hire an agent, thus preserving his collegiate eligibility. [5/01/06]
