Sooners’ Recruiting Class Diminishes: In the wake of the coaching change at Oklahoma, Sooner recruits Scottie Reynolds, Damion James and Jeremy Mayfield want out of their commitments to attend the school. Coach Jeff Capel granted their wish by releasing them from their National Letters of Intent. Reynolds is a McDonald’s All-American and has the potential to make an instant impact at point guard, which the Sooners sorely need. Capel can still recruit the trio to convince them to change their minds. But he will be one of many coaches making an off-season pitch to improve this coming season’s roster. [5/04/06]
