Idaho State Adds NBA flavor: New head coach Joe O’Brien named the final three members of his assistant staff in hiring Geoff Alexander, Steve Swanson and Rodrick Rhodes. Alexander spent the last three seasons at Daytona Beach Community College, where he was an assistant. Steve Swanson was the head coach of the Scottish Rocks of the British Basketball League the past three seasons. Swanson last coached in the NCAA at Southeastern Community College, where he was the associate head coach in 2001. Rhodes is the same Rodrick Rhodes who was a first-round NBA draft pick, SEC freshman of the year at Kentucky and McDonald’s All-American. Rhodes spent last season at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he served as an assistant for the Division II Hilltoppers.
