Indy to Host Big Ten Tourney Again: Indianapolis won a bid to host the Big Ten Conference Tournament from 2008 to 2012. The conference wanted to select a site for several consecutive years to maximize the tournament’s success among fans and ticket sales. Chicago and Indianapolis rotated as hosts for the past few years after Chicago hosted the tournament from 1998 to 2001. Indianapolis will pay the conference $400,000 each year to account for potential lost revenue caused by the smaller stadium at Conseco Fieldhouse compared with the United Center in Chicago. [6/07/06]
