Former Jayhawk Assists Bears: Missouri State has announced the hiring of former Kansas star Steve Woodberry as an assistant on Barry Hinson’s coaching staff. Woodberry, who played on Roy Williams’ Jayhawks squads from 1990-94, played professionally in Australia and Europe since graduating. This will be his first coaching assignment. Missouri State went 22-9 last year and reached the quarterfinals of the postseason NIT. [6/09/06]
