Thunderbirds Lose One, Cut One: Southern Utah has lost a key player that were being counted on for contributions for 2006-07. Shooting guard Henry Uhegwu, a second-team All Mid-Continent Conference selection who averaged 16.8 points in conference games has been ruled academically ineligible. Uhegwu, a transfer from Dixie State College, hopes to play professionally in Europe. Additionally, backup center Fernando Bonfim will also not return to the squad. Bonfim, a JuCo transfer from Western Nebraska, averaged five points and over two rebounds in 18 minutes per game off the bench. [6/09/06]
