New Event With a Big Name Draws in Big Schools: The Cleveland State John McLendon Scholarship Series has hooked big names like Ohio State and Kansas State. The new event will begin Dec. 18 when the Vikings host Ohio State. Kansas State is on tap for 2008. Money raised from the event will go to scholarships named for McLendon, who was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame for being the first black head coach of an integrated university.
