Saint Joseph’s: Hawks Grants Release to Abdulai Jalloh

Hawks Grants Release to Abdulai Jalloh: St. Joseph’s guard Abdulai Jalloh has requested and been granted his release from the school, so he can transfer to another institution. “It has always been the trademark of our program to do what’s best for each individual,” head coach Phil Martelli said. “And we granted his request.”
Jalloh, who just completed his sophomore year, led the Hawks in scoring at 15.5 points per game and rebounding at 5.5 per game. He shot 37.5 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three-point range but converted 84 percent from the foul line. He earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team honors in 2006. [6/13/06]
