Northern Arizona: Lumberjack Gets Sixth Year

Lumberjack Gets Sixth Year: Northern Arizona guard Steve Sir has been granted a sixth season of
eligibility by the NCAA. Sir, who transferred to the Lumberjacks in the middle of the 2003-04 season, missed the 2003 season because of a sports hernia and was granted a medical redshirt season and another year of eligibility. He also redshirted his first season at San Diego State before transferring to Northern Arizona, in addition to the season he sat out per NCAA transfer rules after he left the Aztecs. Sir led the NCAA in three-point field goal shooting last season. He played in all 32 games last season for the Lumberjacks, averaging 11.1 points per game. [6/20/06]
